Family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the loss of a man who died following a fatal shooting at a residence on Thorold Stone Road Thursday evening.
According to the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), officers responded at approximately 8:50 p.m. on July 16, 2026, to a residence near Thorold Stone Road and Dorchester Road in Niagara Falls after receiving a report of a male who had been shot.
Loved ones have identified the victim as Mitchell Snoddon. Police said two suspects attended the residence and shot Mitchell with a handgun. He was transported to a hospital by Niagara Emergency Medical Services, but despite the efforts of medical staff, he sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Mitchell’s passing has left his family, friends, and the Niagara Falls community devastated as they grieve the loss of someone who meant so much to those around him. Police are searching for two suspects who reportedly fled the area in a newer model white Nissan SUV, possibly similar to a Nissan Rogue. Investigators are asking residents and businesses near Thorold Stone Road and Dorchester Road to review any surveillance footage that may assist in identifying the suspects or vehicle involved.
