Family, friends, and members of the Saint Paul, Minnesota, community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Adam Jeffrey Wilwerding, 43; Dena Marie Silcox, 56; and Nansi Fuentes-Zambrano, 25, who were killed in a tragic shooting inside a Highland Park apartment complex leasing office.
According to authorities, the three victims were killed on July 20, 2026, inside the leasing office of an apartment building in the 1500 block of Saint Paul Avenue. Saint Paul police responded around 4:10 p.m. after receiving reports of gunshots and screams.
When officers arrived, they found Adam Wilwerding and Dena Silcox dead inside the leasing office. Nansi Fuentes-Zambrano was found fatally shot in another area of the office. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have identified Tsegaab Ademassu Binessu, 30, of Saint Paul, as the suspect in connection with the deadly shooting. Binessu has been charged with three counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Adam, Dena, and Nansi. Prosecutors allege the shooting followed a dispute involving a parking-garage contract at the apartment complex.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that all three victims died from multiple gunshot wounds and ruled their deaths homicides.
The tragic loss of Adam, Dena, and Nansi has left their families, friends, coworkers, and the entire Saint Paul community devastated. Their lives were taken far too soon, leaving behind loved ones who are now facing unimaginable grief.
Those who knew them will remember the moments they shared, the kindness they showed, and the impact they had on the people around them. Although their lives ended in a heartbreaking act of violence, the memories they created and the love they shared will continue to live on.
