A 19-year-old woman has been identified following a fatal shooting Sunday morning in Victorville’s Eagle Ranch community, according to authorities.
Deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded at approximately 11:27 a.m. on June 14, 2026, to the 12000 block of Osprey Lane, near Mesa Linda Avenue, after reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
When deputies arrived, they discovered the victim lying in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Residents in the area reported hearing several gunshots shortly before the discovery.
Officials said deputies immediately began life-saving measures at the scene until emergency medical personnel took over. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division — Homicide Detail — responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation into the deadly shooting.
During the investigation, Osprey Lane and nearby streets were temporarily closed while authorities processed the scene, collected evidence, and documented the area. Personnel from the Victorville Public Works Department assisted with traffic control and road closures throughout the afternoon.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and investigators have not released details regarding a suspect or possible vehicle involved. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence and speak with witnesses in an effort to determine what led up to the shooting.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to identify those responsible for the fatal incident in the Eagle Ranch community.
