Family, friends, classmates, teammates, and the entire North Vernon, Indiana community are mourning the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of JCHS junior Landyn Porter, whose tragic passing has left an overwhelming sense of grief and sadness in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
Landyn Porter was a cherished member of the JCHS community and a dedicated athlete who proudly represented the school as part of the JCHS football program throughout his high school years. Known by many for the impact he made on and off the field, Landyn built meaningful friendships and earned the respect of teammates, teachers, and classmates who are now struggling to come to terms with this devastating loss.

To help those struggling with the loss, school counselors and local clergy members will be present to offer emotional support, comfort, and guidance to anyone in need during this incredibly difficult time. Students attending have been asked to enter through Door I, located in the back parking lot.
