Angel Nicole Grider Identified as 26-Year-Old Woman Killed in Fatal Jackson County Crash

A 26-year-old southern Indiana woman was killed Monday afternoon following a serious single-vehicle crash in Jackson County, Indiana, according to authorities.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said deputies were dispatched to the 3600 block of West County Road 225 North near Seymour, Indiana, at approximately 2:18 p.m. on Monday after receiving reports of a serious crash involving a single vehicle.

Authorities identified the driver as 26-year-old Angel Nicole Grider. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, but despite their efforts, Grider was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries in the crash.

According to the preliminary investigation, Grider was driving when she lost control of the vehicle due to what investigators described as “aggressive, high-speed driving.” Officials say the vehicle left the roadway before rolling several times into a nearby field, causing significant damage during the violent crash sequence.

Investigators also confirmed that Grider was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, a factor authorities say contributed to the severity of the crash. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no additional injuries were reported.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision as they work to determine whether any other contributing factors may have played a role. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said the investigation remains active, and additional details may be released as it progresses.
