Family, friends, and members of the Liberty community are mourning the tragic loss of Harrison Ray, 59, who passed away after succumbing to injuries sustained in a serious two-vehicle crash earlier this month in Clemson, South Carolina.
According to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred on June 6 at approximately 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 93 and Cambridge Drive in Clemson. Authorities said Harrison Ray, a resident of Liberty, was involved in the collision and suffered severe injuries during the crash.
Following the incident, Ray was transported for emergency medical treatment as doctors worked to save his life. However, despite those efforts, Pickens County Coroner Andrew Wilson confirmed that Harrison Ray later died from his injuries on Thursday, June 18, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Coroner Wilson responded to the hospital following Ray’s death and confirmed that the fatality is being investigated as an accidental death resulting from injuries sustained in the motor vehicle collision.
