8-Year-Old Cleburne Girl Dies in ATV Crash in Pushmataha County

PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Okla. — Authorities are investigating a fatal ATV crash that claimed the life of an 8-year-old girl from Cleburne, Texas, on Wednesday night.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Short Trail Road near Buck Creek Road in Pushmataha County. Troopers say the ATV being driven by Kinsley Williams, 8, overturned under circumstances that remain under investigation.

Emergency responders were called to the scene around 10 p.m. Despite life-saving efforts, Kinsley was pronounced dead following the crash.

Officials confirmed that Kinsley was visiting southeastern Oklahoma with her family at the time of the incident. A younger child who was also on the ATV was not injured.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the investigation is ongoing and no additional details have been released regarding what may have caused the ATV to overturn.

Authorities have not indicated whether any other vehicles were involved in the incident.
