In Loving Memory of Chadwick Taylor, Lovington Man Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Family, friends, and members of the Lovington community are mourning the tragic loss of Chadwick Taylor, 49, of Lovington, New Mexico, who died following a fatal motorcycle crash Wednesday morning in Lea County.

According to the Lea County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on June 17, 2026, at approximately 10:16 a.m. near West Gum Street and Ashly Lane. Deputies responding to the scene found Taylor in the roadway along Gum Street, along with a heavily damaged burnt orange Harley-Davidson motorcycle located nearby off the north side of the roadway.

Authorities confirmed that Taylor sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
