Woman Killed After Being Ejected in Single-Vehicle Crash on SR 545

Ohio — A Greenwich woman was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash that remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to troopers, the crash occurred on June 21, 2026, at approximately 12:07 a.m. near the intersection of State Route 545 and Township Road 856 in Clear Creek Township, Ashland County.

Authorities said 38-year-old Britany A. Bikauskas of Greenwich was driving a 2009 white Buick LaCrosse southbound on State Route 545 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. Troopers reported that she then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to veer off the left side of the road and overturn.

Investigators said Bikauskas was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency crews responded quickly, but she succumbed to her injuries before medical assistance could be provided.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Ashland Fire Division, Savannah Volunteer Fire Company, and 3 Sons Towing & Recovery.

Officials continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash, including roadway conditions and other contributing factors, as the investigation remains ongoing.

Her sudden death has left the Greenwich community grieving as loved ones begin to process the heartbreaking loss.
