Family, friends, and members of the Saline community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of 23-year-old John Frick, who was killed late Saturday night in a pedestrian crash in Pittsfield Township.
The incident occurred June 20, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the area of S. Maple Road near Travis Pointe Road. According to the Pittsfield Township Police Department, a 90-year-old Ann Arbor resident was traveling northbound on S. Maple Road when Frick entered the roadway from the west while attempting to cross eastbound. He was struck by the vehicle.
Emergency personnel with the Pittsfield Township Fire Department responded quickly to the scene and immediately began lifesaving efforts. Despite their rapid response and attempts to save his life, Frick succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
