26-Year-Old Alexandra Hover Killed in Tragic Motorcycle Crash, Two Others Seriously Injured

A tragic motorcycle crash in Auglaize County on Friday evening left one person dead and two others seriously injured after an SUV reportedly pulled into the path of an oncoming motorcycle at a busy intersection.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Route 33 and State Route 65. Investigators said an SUV was traveling north on State Route 65 when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto U.S. 33, entering directly into the path of a motorcycle carrying two people.

The impact caused both riders on the motorcycle to be thrown violently from the bike. Authorities said 26-year-old Alexandra Hover of Lima, who was riding as a passenger, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcycle driver, 22-year-old Khaled Haque, also of Lima, sustained serious injuries and was rushed for emergency treatment. Troopers also confirmed that the SUV driver, 69-year-old Raymond Jacquet of Florida, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the collision.

A passenger riding inside the SUV was not injured during the crash.

The fatal incident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine all factors that led to the devastating collision that has now left a community mourning the loss of a young life.
