Brice Lynch, 17, Killed in Tragic Highland County Two-Vehicle Crash

A 17-year-old teen died following a tragic two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Salem Township, Highland County, Ohio.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 2:16 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 131 and State Route 134.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southwest on State Route 134 when it collided with a Pontiac driven by Brice Lynch, 17, of Seaman, who was traveling eastbound.

A preliminary investigation found that the Pontiac failed to yield from a stop sign before being struck by the Chevrolet. Following the impact, both vehicles left the roadway and struck a nearby barn.

Authorities said Lynch was ejected from the Pontiac during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Crabill, was transported by ground ambulance to Mount Orab Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed while crews and investigators worked at the scene but has since reopened.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by Lynchburg Fire and EMS and the Highland County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation as authorities continue working to determine the circumstances that led to the deadly collision.

The loss of Brice Lynch has left family, friends, and the community grieving the death of a young life taken far too soon.
