Tragic Crash Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Seaman Teen Brice Lynch

Family, friends, and the Seaman community are grieving the heartbreaking loss of Brice Lynch, 17, who died following a tragic two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Salem Township, Highland County, Ohio.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 2:16 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 131 and State Route 134.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southwest on State Route 134 when it collided with a Pontiac driven by Brice Lynch, 17, of Seaman, who was traveling eastbound.

A preliminary investigation found that the Pontiac failed to yield from a stop sign before being struck by the Chevrolet. After the impact, both vehicles left the roadway and struck a nearby barn.

Authorities said Lynch was ejected from the Pontiac during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Crabill, was transported by ground ambulance to Mount Orab Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene but has since reopened. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by Lynchburg Fire and EMS and the Highland County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation as authorities continue working to determine the circumstances that led to the deadly collision.

As family, friends, and loved ones mourn Brice Lynch’s passing, they are remembering a young life taken far too soon and the memories he leaves behind. His loss has deeply affected the Seaman community as many come together to support one another during this difficult time.
