COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 67-year-old woman was found dead Friday afternoon on the city’s east side, prompting a homicide investigation by the Columbus Police Department.
According to authorities, officers responded to Faber Avenue following an unknown complaint. When they arrived, they discovered Randelle Bowman, 67, with what police described as obvious trauma to her body.
Bowman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, homicide detectives identified 31-year-old David K. Holmes as a suspect. Officers later detained Holmes near the area and charged him with murder in connection with Bowman’s death.
Investigators said domestic violence is being considered as a possible motive. The case remains under investigation as detectives continue working to gather additional information and determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Bowman’s death has left family, friends, and members of the Columbus community mourning the loss of a loved one. The investigation remains active as authorities work toward bringing answers to those affected by this tragedy.
