Jason Sims’ Life Ends After Tragic Standoff Incident in Chelyan, West Virginia

The Chelyan, West Virginia, community is mourning the loss of Jason Sims, 41, whose life ended following a tragic standoff with law enforcement on Tuesday.

The incident began in the 15000 block of MacCorkle Avenue SE after authorities responded to reports of a stabbing. According to investigators, a 52-year-old man was injured during the incident and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The man later told authorities that the attack appeared to have been random and that he did not know why he was targeted.
