A man has died after being stabbed early Thursday morning in Oshtemo Township, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called around 2:05 a.m. Thursday, July 16, to the 1300 block of Mt. Royal Drive following a report of a stabbing.
When authorities arrived, they found a 34-year-old man identified as Hunnid Block Rambo suffering from stab wounds. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said a 27-year-old male suspect was located, arrested, and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department.
The case is being investigated as a homicide. Authorities have not released additional details about what led to the stabbing or the relationship between the victim and suspect.
Several agencies assisted with the investigation, including the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, Western Michigan Department of Public Safety, Kalamazoo Township Police Department, and Michigan State Police.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue working to gather information surrounding the deadly incident.
