According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 10:37 p.m. Investigators said a 2016 Polaris utility vehicle was traveling westbound when the driver, 31-year-old Miranda Knepp, swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle. Authorities said she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll onto its passenger side.
Emergency responders arrived quickly to the scene, but Waggoner, who was riding as a passenger, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
