The Memphis community and the Memphis Police Department are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Officer Daniel Adams, who died following an off-duty crash in Lakeland overnight.
Officer Adams, who joined the Memphis Police Department in 2016, was assigned to the Tillman Precinct and is being remembered as a dedicated public servant who committed his career to protecting others and serving his community.
According to police, Adams’ vehicle left the roadway and overturned on Memphis Arlington Road near Chambers Chapel Road. First responders arrived at the scene at approximately 9:55 p.m. Thursday. He was the only person involved in the crash. Adams was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but despite medical efforts, he later died from his injuries.
