With heavy hearts, family members, friends, and members of the Anderson community are mourning the tragic and sudden loss of 33-year-old Jamiah Sentell Carson, whose life was cut short in a domestic-related shooting on Monday afternoon in Anderson, South Carolina.

The heartbreaking incident has left loved ones in deep sorrow as they struggle to come to terms with the sudden and painful reality of his passing. Family and friends are now holding tightly to memories of Jamiah, reflecting on the moments they shared while grieving a life taken far too soon. According to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, emergency responders were called to Double Oak Court shortly before 3:15 p.m. on June 22 after reports that a man had been shot. When officials arrived, they located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was treated at the scene before being transported to AnMed Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities identified the victim as 33-year-old Jamiah Sentell Carson of Anderson.

Preliminary findings indicate that Carson was involved in a domestic altercation at his residence that escalated and resulted in gunfire. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office has ruled the cause of death as a gunshot wound, and the manner of death has been classified as a homicide. The incident remains under active investigation by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office and the Anderson Police Department.
