Family members, friends, and the Roanoke community are mourning the loss of Alexis Edmunds, who was fatally shot at the age of 22 following a tragic incident on Bluestone Avenue NE.
According to Roanoke Police, officers responded at approximately 11:19 p.m. on June 27 to the 2900 block of Bluestone Avenue NE after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located an adult female deceased at the scene and a male subject inside the residence.
Investigators determined that an argument between Alexis Edmunds and another individual escalated, resulting in gunfire. Alexis was pronounced deceased at the scene after being fatally shot.
Police arrested 23-year-old Tiajae Silas Paige of Roanoke, who has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the incident. Authorities confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
