Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni has identified the victim in a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night in Springfield.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, Springfield Police officers responded to the 100 block of Lebanon Street following a ShotSpotter activation. When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Baystate Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries Saturday morning.
Authorities have identified the victim as Alexander Pulinario, 18, of Springfield.
A second adult male was also injured in the shooting and was privately transported to Baystate Medical Center. Officials say his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The incident remains under active investigation by the Springfield Police Homicide Unit, under the direction of Captain Trent Duda, in coordination with the Hampden District Attorney’s Murder Unit.
