In Loving Memory of Amanda Green

Family, friends, and the Fair Bluff community are mourning the devastating loss of Amanda Green, 29, and her daughter, Arabella Powell, 11, who were killed in a tragic two-vehicle crash at Hinson’s Crossroads in Columbus County, North Carolina, on Friday morning, July 10, 2026.

According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of Rough and Ready Road and Hinson’s Crossroads Church Road.

Authorities said Patricia Ann Jackson of Fayetteville failed to stop at a stop sign before her 2022 Toyota collided with Green’s vehicle, striking it on the driver’s side.

Amanda Green of Fair Bluff and her daughter, Arabella Powell, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Officials said an adult female and two juveniles in Jackson’s vehicle suffered minor injuries. Jackson was airlifted for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Jackson was later charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle, failure to stop at a stop sign, and reckless driving.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing as authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the collision.

As loved ones grieve the loss of Amanda and Arabella, the Fair Bluff community is remembering a mother and daughter whose lives were taken far too soon. Their passing has left family and friends heartbroken as they hold onto the memories and moments they shared.
