A 59-year-old man has died following a tragic motorcycle crash in North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, on Saturday afternoon.
The Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Charles McCutcheon, 59, of Jeannette. Officials said McCutcheon was the sole occupant of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling west on Lincoln Highway when the crash occurred.
According to authorities, McCutcheon was struck by a vehicle that was attempting to turn into a nearby business. Officials said the vehicle collided with the motorcycle head-on, resulting in the fatal crash.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, where the motorcycle was found lying along the roadway and the other vehicle had suffered significant front-end damage.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation as authorities work to determine the events that led to the collision.
