Steve Zahran, 24, Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Ogden

A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed following a crash Thursday evening in Ogden, New York.

Police responded to the intersection of Ogden-Parma Townline Road and Gillett Road shortly before 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving injuries. When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist deceased in the roadway.

Authorities identified the rider as Steve Zahran, 24, of Parma. According to the Ogden Police Department, Zahran was operating a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling eastbound on Ogden-Parma Townline Road when the crash occurred.

Investigators said Zahran was traveling above the posted 40 mph speed limit and, as he approached Gillett Road, passed an uninvolved vehicle in a no-passing zone. Police said the motorcycle then collided with a vehicle that was turning west onto Ogden-Parma Townline Road.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.
