Family, friends, and members of the Altoona community are mourning the tragic and unexpected loss of Tyler E. Maddox, who passed away on Thursday morning, June 11, 2026, following a fatal motorcycle crash in Cullman County. He was 32 years old.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Maddox was operating a 2019 Kawasaki Z650 motorcycle when it collided with a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 along Alabama Highway 91 near Cullman County Road 783, approximately three miles south of Holly Pond. The crash occurred at around 6 a.m.
Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, Maddox sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge Ram, identified as 53-year-old Joshua H. Boatright of Cullman, was involved in the collision. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash.
