A 65-year-old Evergreen man has died following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 83 north of Evergreen, according to the Conecuh County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 2:55 p.m. on July 18, 2026. The victim was identified as Bobby McNeil, 65, of Evergreen.
Following the collision, McNeil was transported to Evergreen Medical Center for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced deceased.
The Conecuh County Coroner’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding McNeil’s death. The incident is also being investigated by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Officials said the investigation remains ongoing and no additional information is being released at this time as authorities continue working to determine the details surrounding the crash.
