Omaha Woman Killed After Jeep Struck by Train in Arion, Iowa

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 1 a.m. at a railroad intersection in Arion when a Jeep carrying three adults and one child was struck by a train.

Authorities said the impact caused the vehicle to come to rest in a nearby ditch. The occupants of the Jeep were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment.

Sandra Factor Pano, a resident of Omaha, was pronounced deceased as a result of the crash. Three other occupants, including a child, were injured and received medical attention. Their conditions were not immediately released.
