Two Men Killed After Argument Over House Keys Escalates Into Deadly Shootout in Port St. Lucie, Florida

Two men have died following a deadly shooting early Sunday morning in Port St. Lucie, Florida, after police say an argument over house keys escalated into a shootout.

According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, officers responded at approximately 3:30 a.m. to the 1300 block of SE Rivergreen Circle after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found 24-year-old Carl Loubeau and 22-year-old Juliun Stokes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the driveway of a home. Both men were transported to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries.

Investigators said the two men had been socializing earlier in the night before returning to the residence on SE Rivergreen Circle, where an argument reportedly began. Police said the dispute involved house keys and later escalated into gunfire, leaving both men fatally wounded.

Authorities said the incident appears to be isolated and that all parties involved have been detained and are cooperating with the investigation.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting as detectives work to determine the full sequence of events that led to the deadly confrontation.
