Wanted Suspect Identified in Deadly Shooting of Oakwood Woman Tia Vidon Keith in Hall County, Georgia

Authorities in Hall County, Georgia, are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the tragic shooting death of an Oakwood woman who was killed Thursday night at the Subhanallah Food Mart on Mountain View Road.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Antwane Sintell Thurmond, 45, of Oakwood, has been identified as the suspect wanted in the death of Tia Vidon Keith, 44. Thurmond is facing charges of malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault under Georgia’s Family Violence Act.

Investigators said Thurmond, who was Keith’s former live-in boyfriend, was allegedly waiting inside her vehicle when she walked out of the store. Authorities said he shot Keith inside the vehicle before she was able to fight back and escape.

Detectives said Keith ran back into the store seeking help, but investigators allege Thurmond followed her and continued shooting. Keith was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities said they recovered the vehicle Thurmond was believed to have used after leaving the area and later executed a search warrant at a Metro Atlanta home as part of the investigation. Evidence was recovered during the search, but Thurmond remains at large.

Investigators believe Thurmond may be moving from place to place to avoid capture and said they do not know what vehicle he may currently be using.

Thurmond is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and approximately 212 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos, including one on his neck that reads “ROMANS 12:19.” Authorities also said he has a prosthetic lower left leg and walks with a slight limp.

Officials warn that Thurmond is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him and should call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Hall County Sheriff’s Office at 770-503-3232 or email IntelRequest@hallcounty.org.
