According to the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and emergency responders were called around 7:36 p.m. to the area of North Chipman Road near Cronk Road following reports of a serious motorcycle crash.
Investigators said Robbie was operating a 2005 Honda CBR-1000 motorcycle northbound when the motorcycle left the roadway, traveled through a steep ditch, and struck several trees. Responding deputies found Robbie at the scene, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Authorities said Robbie was the sole occupant of the motorcycle. Preliminary findings indicate that extreme speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.
