Family, friends, and members of the Amelia Court House community are grieving the heartbreaking loss of William Anthony Conti, 22, and Maria Gabriela Lucena Viana de Castro, 22, whose lives ended following a tragic motorcycle crash in Powhatan County, Virginia, early Saturday morning.

Their unexpected passing has left a deep void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved them. William and Maria will be remembered for the memories they created, the relationships they built, and the moments they shared with family, friends, and those fortunate enough to have known them.

According to Virginia State Police, the crash happened around 5 a.m. near the intersection of Dorset Road and Stavemill Road. Authorities said William was operating a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX1000 motorcycle with Maria as his passenger when the motorcycle failed to stop at a stop sign on Dorset Road.

Investigators said the motorcycle continued through the intersection, left the roadway, and struck a tree. Both William and Maria suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that both were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
