Randall Harmon, 63, Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle on I-64 in Huntington, West Virginia

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, family, friends, and members of the Huntington community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Randall Harmon, 63, who died after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Interstate 64 early Sunday morning.

According to the Huntington Police Department, officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to a reported pedestrian crash on I-64 near mile marker 13.5 in Cabell County, West Virginia. Authorities said a preliminary investigation determined that Harmon, a resident of Huntington, was walking westbound in a travel lane of I-64 when he was hit by at least one vehicle.

Despite emergency response efforts, Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the tragic incident remain under investigation. Police have not released additional details about the vehicle or driver involved as investigators continue working to determine what led to the fatal collision.
