A Blanchester man has died following a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon in Clinton County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Authorities said Tag Williams, 26, was traveling westbound on State Route 350 near Clarksville at approximately 2:55 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve. Investigators said the motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a guy wire and a roadside sign.
Officials said the impact caused Williams to be ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene and provided medical assistance before transporting him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Despite life-saving efforts, Williams later died from his injuries at the hospital.
Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash involved a single motorcycle. The roadway was partially affected while crews responded and investigators worked to document the scene and gather evidence.
Authorities confirmed that Williams was a resident of Blanchester. His identity was released following notification of family members.
The crash remains under active investigation as troopers continue to examine the circumstances leading up to the incident, including roadway conditions and other contributing factors.
