According to the Coralville Police Department, emergency crews were called shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday to the aquatic center located at 1513 7th Street after receiving a report of a drowning.
Responding officers, lifeguards, and paramedics immediately rushed to provide life-saving assistance to Jor-El. Despite the efforts of those who responded and continued medical care, he was transported to University of Iowa Health Care, where he was pronounced dead.
