The Mobile community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Kristin Delaney, 46, who died following a tragic two-vessel crash Saturday night on the Intra-Coastal Waterway near Wolf Bay in Baldwin County, Alabama.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash happened around 8:10 p.m. on July 18, 2026, when a 27-foot 2024 Albury Brothers vessel and a 23-foot 2013 Key West vessel collided.
Investigators said Delaney, a passenger aboard the Albury Brothers vessel, suffered critical injuries in the crash. She was transported to South Baldwin Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The collision also left several other people injured. ALEA said Brooks Delaney, 51, of Fairhope, was injured and taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for treatment. The Albury Brothers vessel was operated by Drew Delaney, 49, of Mobile, and eight people were aboard at the time of the crash.
Authorities identified the operator of the Key West vessel as Cameron Neil, 32, of Houma, Louisiana. Neil was injured and transported for medical care. Three additional injured passengers were identified as Talyn Faulkner, 25, of Raceland, Louisiana; John Lyle, 28, of Houma, Louisiana; and Rayford Reeves, 34, of Schriever, Louisiana. Eight people were aboard that vessel as well.
Following the collision, ALEA said all individuals who were not injured, along with both vessels, were taken to The Wharf docks in Orange Beach.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Marine Patrol Division continues investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
